CROSS CONNECTION CONTROL DEVICE
TESTER CERTIFICATION CLASS
The Blue Grass Cross Connection Prevention Association, in conjunction with the Indiana Chapter of the American Backflow Prevention Association, is conducting a Cross Connection Control Device Tester Certification Class. The class will begin Monday March 11, 2013, and will conclude Friday March 15, 2013 with the final examination on Saturday March 16, 2013. Classes will begin at 8:00 am and conclude each day at 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Meals and lodging are the responsibility of the students. The class will include classroom and lab instruction.
Training will consist of 40 hours of instruction, with a practical examination based on information obtained from the 10th Edition Manual of Cross Connection Control and Hydraulic Research presented by the University of Southern California. Cross connection control is the most important safeguard to our drinking water supply for our communities and families. Certification by BGCCPA is recognized throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as well as the states of Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
The location for the class will be at the Georgetown Municipal Water and Sewer Treatment Plant #2. For directions to the treatment plant, please call 502-863-7819 or 859-509-3674. All test kits, backflow prevention devices, necessary manuals, paperwork, handouts, and education materials will be provided. Students will be responsible for their own pencils, regular sized Phillips and slotted screwdrivers, a 10” adjustable wrench, and waterproof boots.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CERTIFICATON CLASS, AND MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 28, 2013.
The cost for the class is $766.00 per student, which includes certification by the BGCCPA. Checks and confirmed company purchase orders shall be made payable to Blue Grass Cross Connection Prevention Association. Payment by credit card and registration may be made online at the Association’s website – www.bgccpaky.org
Refunds shall not be given for no-shows for the training class. Refunds shall be given ONLY if registration(s) are cancelled before February 15, 2013.
